Breast asymmetry is when both breasts differ in shape and size. In men and women, mild inequalities between the two breasts that are not very noticeable are common. Those that will attract attention and psychologically disturb the person may have many reasons.
In breast asymmetry, the procedure is performed by matching the smaller breast with the larger one or vice versa. To reduce the size of the large breast, the so-called classic breast reduction is performed. If the small breast is to be enlarged, an implant is used.
As with any surgery, some complications may occur in breast asymmetry correction surgery. There may be a risk of impaired wound healing or a risk that the scars may not develop optimally. However, if all postoperative recommendations are followed, the necessary rest is provided, care is taken for the scars, most of the risks can be minimised.
