HOW IS NECK LIFT SURGERY PERFORMED?

Neck lift surgery is performed in several steps.

There are two types of incisions depending on whether you want a neck lift. These are the traditional neck lift incision and the limited incision. The traditional neck lift incision starts at the hairline, goes down around the ears and progresses to the posterior neck area. A limited incision, also known as a ”massai” neck lift, covers only around the ears.

Fat may need to be removed in both incisions, or the fat may be evenly distributed under the skin of your neck. In the third and final step, the excess skin is cut and the incisions are closed with the help of stitches. The neck is bandaged together with the face to prevent swelling and bruising.
