Open Rhinoplasty
In open rhinoplasty surgery, the incision is applied to the area considered to be the middle pole of the nose. The skin of the nose and then cartilage tissue are removed from the place of this incision. The necessary procedures are performed depending on the nasal functions or disorders in the nasal structure; cartilage tissue and skin are placed back into the middle pole of the nose and the operation is completed by closing the incision. Open rhinoplasty is the preferred surgical method because it provides a clear view of all structures during surgery and provides the best result.
Closed Rhinoplasty
In closed-nose aesthetics, various incisions are applied depending on the procedure to be performed on the nose, but the incisions are applied from the inside of the nostril and are invisible from the outside. Swelling that develops after surgery resolves faster during closed rhinoplasty surgery.
As with any major surgery, rhinoplasty also carries risks such as:
Bleeding,
Infection,
An adverse reaction to anesthesia,
Pain, discoloration or swelling that may persist,
Scar.
