Ptosis Surgery

Ptosis surgery is an operation that lifts the upper eyelid and tightens the muscle. As you get older, the levator muscle that lifts your upper eyelid stretches and weakens, causing your eyelid to sag. Ptosis surgery is a frequently preferred application to remove eyelid sagging that obstructs the angle of vision.

HOW IS PTOSIS SURGERY PERFORMED?

An incision is made over the eyelid and the small muscle that lifts the eyelid is found. The eyelid is lifted and then closed with sutures.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF PTOSIS SURGERY?

As with any surgery, there are risks associated with ptosis surgery. The risks can be listed as follows: Bruising or swelling after surgery, Infection, Asymmetric eyelid height, Dryness in the eye.
